Yellow Journalism, She Calls It

After reading her latest post about the vandalism incident, one wonders what planet she is from. Her posts are an endless source of amusement, but it's sad to think that someone is so delusion, you got to think her life must be one fucked up place.

Sharon Bowers doesn't know jack about journalism. Given her history of being a "citizen journalist" and having read her latest 800 word fountain of drivel, I suggest she has given up her right to label anything yellow, except the snow you shouldn't eat.

Just a point of clarification...The following points are characteristics of yellow journalism.

Taken from Wikipedia:

1. scare headlines in huge print, often of minor news
2. lavish use of pictures, or imaginary drawings
3. use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudo-science, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts
4. emphasis on full-color Sunday supplements, usually with comic strips (which is now normal in the U.S.)
5. dramatic sympathy with the "underdog" against the system.

From what I can see, none of these things were used in the article about Mia's car in The Times. It does seem to me though, like the Strand uses this formula to put together almost each and every article written on the website and blog! Funny that!

One of my recent favourites is about getting off the crackpipe before sitting down in front of the computer. My answer would be, why don't you get off your ass crack and step away from the computer.

Oh hey, psychic, what's your tea leaves or Ouija board telling you now or that little birdie or the deep throat. Can't wait to find out.
