Bowerism

Unablogger chastised an anonymous poster yesterday for bad spelling in this sentence; "The only source of knoeledge is experience (Albert Einstein). When it comes to community planning you have neither."

Her response: "I do, however, know how to use Spell Check."

Very good rejoinder, don't you think?

Today she wrote: "Passero also ran unsuccessfully for Ward 1 councillor in 2006 and is rumoured too be seeking public office in this year's upcoming election. " Hahaha "TOO".

"Knoeledge" is a typo since the W and the E are so close together on the keyboard. TOO is just intellectual dwarfism, don't you think, Editor?

I'm glad you brought that up. She is found of calling our arguments "straw dogs" when in actuality she means "straw man". That must be the Cornell education at work, or is it UB?

I don't know if this is a straw man, but the Buffalo News should have pointed out that Sharon used to be failed mayor candidate Tommy Lewis' babysitter and can usually be seen walking down the Friendship Trail hand in hand with his mother looking for a place to poop. The News should also have said that John Papadakis is another failed mayoral candidate, third in a three man race in his 9th, 10th or 11th election.

Given the great possiblity that building this condo will limit our future access to the lakefront , I am disgusted that the Ontario Shorewalk Association is not opposing this development. Is the president of this association a coward, or is he one of the backroom boys that seem to be pulling all the strings in this project?

Anonymous said...

Why would she Shorewalk Association oppose the development?

As I understand it, their mandate is to allow the public access to walk the beaches of Fort Erie, regardless if the beaches front residential properties or are fronted by public property.

The condo project doesn't even suggest that the beaches would be unaccessable to the public .... so why would they oppose it???

Anonymous said...

I have posed this question to Ms.Bower, who, then did not publish it.

How many of the FOCB are beach front owners, who restrict access to the beach? Are there any???

Canuck said...

That's easy. Because Sharon wants to use her "straw dog" of "They're giving away the beach" and include Shorewalk in her coalition of flakes and whackjobs. We don't even know what the Shorewalk position is and she is using her "formitable" powers of persuasion to intimidate Passero into siding on her side. She's not against the development, per se, but against the council because it doesn't include her fart hole, pie hole daisy chain.

I think what is most interesting in Brigitte Bonner's comment was the question of whether Passero is a coward. Is that comment not intended to be a bully tactic. Seems as if she's one of Kollection in the Bowers Klan of Kooks and Klutzes who has been flying under the radar.

Bowers kaputt.

Canuck said...

Good Question!!!!

Canuck said...

Whoops, I lost that comment that I thought was a good question. The comment was: "I posed this question to Bower which she did not post: How many of the FOCB are waterfront owners who restrict our access to the beach."

Our birthright, isn't that what she said. Are the people opposed to the development keeping us from our birthright?

Anonymous said...

I am not a big fan of Mr.Passero but before people go all nuts on the guy let him actually go to council as say what he has to say .At this point all you have is Sharons reliable sources stating what he might say.For all intensive purposes he might say something totally the opposite.

John Papadakis said he wasn't in the pockets of developers when he ran for election. Yet Joe Zawadski was his biggest contributor to his campaign, the maximum of $750. Then after he lost the election to not only Martin, but also Lewis, he joined with Zawadski to appeal the Frenchman's Trunk Sewer to the OMB. They dismissed the appeal saying they had no grounds to appeal and there was nothing to hear on the matter.

One has to wonder ....... What the f%#k is going on ???!!!

Who is this shit infested bitch that thinks she can tell us what to do.

She doesn't like the news coverage in our local paper because it doesn't go her way, so she contacts the Buffalo News ..... TWO DAYS IN A ROW.

Today's paper : http://www.buffalonews.com/cityregion/ontarioniagara/story/951412.html?page=1&order=T#comment

Talk about YELLOW JOURNALISM !!!!

How thick can someones skull be when the state that the access to the beach will be less than desirable when the condo is built?Did they go to Crystal Beach Public School when they were adult students? The Town has clearly stated that this project will enhance accessibilty not impeade it! Can't they see the plans? OPEN SPACE,A VIEW from Erie Rd. how more clear can it be? Unless their eyes are wide shut! And why wouldn't Shore Walk endorse it,its clear that they should and will because they and we have been understanding that the beach will remain public and access will be improved! My head hurts! Logic sometimes doesn't enter a thick skull apparently. P.S. any mispells,"teach" is watching!

Hey there is a couple of cottages for sale in the beach. All for an incredible 65 G's!I wonder why wonderboy didn't snatch them up for himself, like he normally does?P.S I guess we now can have a chance to bid on his leftovers! I bet the farm that he already did the numbers on them and it ain't that great!but for you and I a great little commission for him could help pay for some much needed publicity for The Fort Erie Waterfront Preservation Association!lol

Well, Ms. Bowels feels she can twist any situation into that which benefits her agenda.

She attacks the Shorewalk Association for being neutral. Then, when Stephen Passero explains the mandate and opinions of the group .... she does not accept them, rather makes unsubstantiated allegations against them to suit her own agenda.

Post REJECTED by Strand
:

" The Strand, in it's usual low standards of reporting the truth has sunk to a new low.

Why would you put up such a statement as " DID SHOREWALK MAKE A DEAL WITH THE
TOWN?"

This in my opinion is the lowest of journalism tactics, when you
can't get a story you want, you make one up.

Stephen Passero even took the time to respond to your previous accusations and explained their mandate and opinions.

You cast that aside and make up your own ficticious stories."

The simple truth is that Sharon Bowers is a MORON. Because she accepts payment to deliver her snide smear attacks on people, she somehow believes that everyone else does that too.

She has shown her racist colours against Jews and Arabs. She has turned on people who have helped her. She once wrote that people of Crystal Beach are "white trash."

She can't hide from it. She wrote it all down for the world to see, and some of us to save. It will be marched out when needed.

Here's an idea: why doesn't Sharon Bowers register as a delegate with all her other American "allies-du-jour" and face council. She'll blog about it and harangue newspapers but why doesn't she just grow some hair and make her case in person.

Anonymous said...

Canuck ..... I am not questioning what you have posted, but if you do have saved copies of what shitpants has said, especially the "white trash" one, please post it.

I am totally fed up with this bitch, and am ready to go over the edge.

Just give me the reason to take the gloves off and go bare knuckle against this bitch.

Canuck said...

What more reason do you need to go bare knuckles? Meanwhile, let's enjoy this time together for now knowing that the UnaBlogger is feverishly searching for the offending words. Here's a hint: according to my reliable source, it was written in the period of her life when Prozac "saved my life."

The latest Anonymous commentary jumps all over the map. They sound like they're talking about the positive people, then the negative. I posted it on my blog...

It's really funny how the whole house of cards is coming apart on them now that people are fighting back, no?

Canuck said...

One of the things I like is she saves her spelling admonishments for those who attempt to debate her position, but leaves alone those of her Kollective, i.e. the latest from V. What's that about?

What to you get if put Sharon on a stick and leave her in the snow? A Putz-sicle.

Here is my take on what happened regarding Shorewalk president Stephen Passero taking a neutral position on the Bay Beach Issue:

The mayor called Passero and former Shorewalk president Gary Skerritt into his office to meet with him and CAO Harry Slange. Stephen was offered the endorsement of current Ward 1 Councillor, Sandy Annunziata (who we all know is planning to seek the Conservative nod in 2011 to run for MPP in Kim Craitor's riding,) in exchange for his neutrality on the Bay Beach Issue. It is a poorly kept secret that Stephen Passero wants another chance to be elected in Ward 1. He ran unsuccessfully against Annunziata in 2006. Last month, Passero was given a "message" by council when he encountered difficulty with the location of the skateboard park. He is the chair of the Skateboard Park Committee. Council wasted 2 hours revisiting the proposed location before finally deciding to keep it where it was originally voted for earlier. Stephen had to spend over an hour defending the chosen location near Town Hall. To me, it was the equivalent of council putting him on notice. Passero himself e-mailed me that he did not think that was the case. So clueless, in my opinion, that he didn't get the message, so it had to be spelled out clearer: shut up about Bay Beach and we'll support you for Ward 1. If not, all your other projects will run into problems. As Martha Lockwood would say, "Politics 101." Happens all the time. Candidates need backing and they sometimes have to abandon principles to get there. We must work together to elect people who will keep their promises to the people. Too bad Stephen didn't trust the voters to do the right thing and made a deal with "the dark side." Unfortunately, some of us saw this coming. Very disappointing. It will get worse before it gets better.

Re: Political News . . .

That is the most amazing piece of work I've ever seen. I wonder who she deep throated for that insight.

Canuck said...

You now what's really neat? I've been holding on to this one for two years. She can't even spell the CAO's name right. Not after the many times it's been in the papers, on TV and just about everywhere you look at the town. Did I call it intellectual dwarfism? How about intellectual minisculism.

I'm waiting for her to make her presentation to council and put it all on the official record, and I hope she invites the Buffalo News and the Toronto Sun. Come on Sharon, it's all true, right?

Anonymous said...

About her getting snarly at people who argue with her who can't spell, it speaks volumes about a major theme of this blog. It's not about what you say, but who you are that gets her dander up.

Canuck said...

And when you disagree with her, you are enemies for life. Which is fine by me because I'd rather be dead than be a friend which is how I'd likely end up if we were friends. But she does have her soulmate now doesn't she, holding hands and wiping butts together.

I see that someone is writing on "bowels blog" for Richard Berry again.Hey Ricky!get a computer and write your own conspiracy theories about cost over runs at town hall.If you have proof, I bet the mainstream media would ablige. The entertainment value continues even when he and Brunton are not on council anylonger.PURE COMEDY!

Canuck said...

It's so nice to see Richard using his new-found computer skills for such a constructive purpose. Too bad they don't make a DELETE key for his history on council.

Anonymous said...

I was wondering what idiot made that post. Now I know which idiot it was.

Anonymous said...

You are absolutely right. There are plenty of idiots that write on these blogs.Unfortunately some of these idiots were elected by us on Council in the past and wasted all of our time.Hopefully we can get them to understand that they are idiots, real idiots with too much time on their hands, refuting other issues that they can't vote on!

It seems that the Unablogger learned how to look things up on the internet, but sill has no idea on consequences.

By going after Martha, she claimed "Her live-in girlfriend" was a source of pecuniary interest.

Apparently she not realize that you don't have to claim pecuniary interest unless you are in the position of making money or a living from the results of the vote. Having a roommate run a small business does not affect your ability to make a decision. If Councilor Lockwood was drawing a salary from said Tiki Hut, then she would be. Nor does her job at the newspaper preclude her from voting based on the fact that EVERY BUSINESS in town at one point and time or another advertises there. oh, and since when are the BIA's Town Stakeholders? I think the BIA would be offended to have her suggest that they work for the Town of Fort Erie. They are non profit groups whose mandate is to beautify the town and make a coalition of the businesses. Since when is that working for City Hall?

Oh, and this is not the first time she has referred to Councilor Lockwood's sexuality in her snide little comments...I wonder if the police would be interested in these...they seem to be verging on Hate Crimes.

Well the report on Bay Beach is out. It outlines the issues of the present situation or plight of Crystal Beach. It also explains that the Neighbourhood Plan is just a guideline and can be altered.Recommendations are made with commonsense and real facts attributing to the support of The Molinaro Plan,in principle.I guess the strand will rip it apart as usual practise.Hired experts are still not enough to stop the outrage of a few protectionists!....I will hop over to the dark side(the crystal beach strand) to see how they're doing!

Canuck said...

So what. The UnaBlogger has a perfect record of being on the wrong side of everything. She's just sore because her boy didn't get elected to give her a job as his Minister of Propaganda .

Anonymous said...

Just in case Ms. Bowers does not post my note, I am posting here as well, where I know it will see the light of day....thanks!

TO THE STRAND EDITOR:
It seems that anyone who does not agree with your opinion on the Bay Beach issue is either a liar, corrupt, incompetent, or a town ass-kisser. Well I am none of the above. It seems there is no room left for intelligent debate or the courtesy of respecting an opposing viewpoint, right Editor? Now you are trashing Ron Palmer because he agreed that the project represents GOOD PLANNING and is in the best interest of the GREATER PUBLIC GOOD. I'll take his opinion any day over yours, due to his reputation as an honest, thoughtful, intelligent planning professional versus the NIMBY ramblings of most of the posters to this blog. Don't the average citizens of Crystal Beach realize they are being used by the American elitist waterfront landowners, who are only trying to protect their own little piece of paradise? Very sad. Well, since you like predictions so much, here's mine: approval by Town Council Monday night, approval by Ontario Municipal Board in summer 2010, construction 2011, and thousands enjoying the best public beach facility in Niagara by 2012. After that? Prosperity for Crystal Beach and its businesses for decades to come. Oh, one last thing. After spending the time reading the Neighbourhood Plan from cover to cover, it seems to me that using it for ammunition is useless for many reasons, especially the fact that the Option 2 drawing in Section 5.6 CLEARLY shows a MULTI-STOREY BUILDING. As well, the 3 storey limit applies only to the core area, and not to the Bay Beach site. Read the document before you spew about it anymore.

Check out the blog Niagara At Large and specifically this post http://niagaraatlarge.com/2010/02/26/niagaras-politicians-embracing-milestone-plan-for-promoting-region-as-a-cultural-destination/

Now, tell me if Sharon Bowers has not assumed yet another new identity as "John Smith" to deflect criticism of the dichotomy of Richard Berry's record as a councillor and his current complaints by discussing the personal relationships and business affairs of a private citizen.

There are four points about the comment that would prove my suspicion: the overall paragraph structure, the precise phraseology that has been used before, the developmental style and last, but definitely not least, a little known feature of the software -- the same software I use -- that is used for Niagara At Large.

We could add a fifth, that being the history of Sharon Bowers assuming the identity of someone else. There's a sixth: they always return to the scene of the crime.

To Anonymous, who posted here in anticipation that the post would be rejected by the Strand.

You were absolutely RIGHT. The Strand DID REJECT you post.

And that is really sad because it was well written, offered your opinion in a responsible manner, and was factual.

Just ANOTHER case where the Editor accepts NOTHING that conflicts with her opinion. Her blog is a useless piece of TRASH that is there ONLY for the few supporters of HER agenda.

But then again ...... that's the American way.
